So, you went wandering around in coin shops to find them, but nobody seemed to have them and they weren't in the catalog for you to buy. Only choice, give up. But now, with the items being in there, it's much easier for you to find furni for your needs!

Soccer....American word?

There has always been mystery about why Americans call the sport soccer instead of joining everyone else by calling it football. People from other nations laugh that we call it this while everyone else agrees on the term Football. So why do Americans call it soccer...?

Until a few decades ago, Englishmen also called the sport soccer just as often times as they would call it football. Clive Toye, an Englishman who moved to the U.S. and became known as the father of modern American soccer, agrees with this. He says,"When I was a kid in England and grabbed a ball to go out and play … I would just as easily have said: ‘Let’s have a game of soccer’ as I would use the word ‘football’ instead. And I didn’t start it.”

It all started 1863, when a few gentlemen met at an English pub to standardize the rules of football. These gentlemen became the founding members of the Football Association. It was called this to diferentiate from Rugby Football. As this was long to say, they decided to shorten the it. They take the 3rd, 4th, and 5th letters from Association, SOC, and created the word Soccer.

A few changes to Habbo ID and some hot new clothes for the summer!
HABBO ID

Habbo have now made it easier to play around with your different characters in the Hotel. You may have already noticed that when you sign in you automatically get the character you last used. If you want to change your character before heading into the Hotel, you can just click your avatar on the front page.

That's not all, though... cause you can also change your Habbo character while in the Hotel! Just click the "Me" tab, choose settings, then log out of one character and into another. Easy! Just note that this will remove you from the room you are in already, and automatically send you to the favourite room of the character you just signed in with.

CLOTHES
With this new update they also have some great new summer wear for HC and VIP members! Perfect for lazy days on the beach, and lounging around the pool. Mmmm.. summer!

1 Year Anniversary!!!

Yes you read right. Its has been 1 year since Michel Jackson has kicked the bucket. On June 25th 2009 MJ left us with the question,…How did he die?!?!

It seems like it’s been 4 months. For me I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember getting home from the mall and getting tons of text from people asking me and as well as telling me that he died. After a few minutes of looking through Habbo and asking people if it was true, I decided to turn on the TV and see if anything was on the news about his death.

Sure enough there was something. Its was CBS that got my attention. Then I noticed the clock, it was 15 minutes after MJ died. That’s incredible! In just 15 minutes the whole world knew he died!

Well a year later his doctor is still on trial and now MJ’s Father, Joseph Jackson filed a lawsuit against the doctor for unlawful practice.

On Friday there was an auction where they where selling off MJ’s stuff, the top biding item, his crystal studded glove witch sold for $250,000.00! Now if that isn’t money I don’t know what is!

And also MJ was the Idol of our very own Hotel Manager, SmoothCriminal who picked his name after one of MJ’s songs.

Catalog Revamp!

If you are like me then you were probably wondering what the Habbo Staff are playing at. The catalog in it's day was a big hit and had a mixture of furni, including Iced & Mode stuff.

It did come to my attention a while back that Habbo UK had all of the furni items in place in their own catalog which had me wondering why we didn't! Luckily though, the merge has seemed to spark a brain cell in the staff and they have finally added the furni we all know and love!

They haven't said for sure if all of this furni is permanent, but it seems like it is here to stay, for the near future at least. Along with the good old classic furni, they have included some of the newer furni as well.

Take a look below at what Habbo Staff have in store for us!

- Area furni, with a huge range of colors.
- Diner furni, the entire range is included, so snap those up ASAP!
- Country furni, although some is held back for special occasions.
- The Executive line is once again being introduced.
- Great additions to the accessory range, including one way gates.

With ‘round the clock events happening all week, this is your chance to prove you and your friends are the 24 hour party people. Start up a dance crew, choreograph a routine and post it on YouTube!

Sound complicated? Simply read the "How to Enter" instructions and you’ll be riding the Hot Tamale Train in no time ;)

How to Enter:
1. Grab two, three or four of your friends and convince them they NEED to enter this comp with you... Bribing them with the chance to win prizes always helps ;)

Observations since the Merge

Now that it has been a little while since the merge, I would like to touch upon a few things that I have observed.

First, lots of people from different countries are clashing. I've seen more racial comments and stereotypes toward people from different countries than ever before. I have personally witnessed this a few times. Since I am American, when people from other countries get mad at me, I am called "a fat American who eats McDonald's." This doesn't bother me since I hate McDonald's and I am not fat, but some people it does bother.

Second, when the merge was coming, everyone was worried about people losing money on their supers. This turned out to be pretty false. Since the merge, casino's have gotten BIGGER! Instead of the normal 104 tile room, casino owner's are using bigger rooms to fit more supers and more booths.

These are just a few things I have noticed since the merge. If you have anything else, contact me and I will write a follow up article.

Guess what? Since habbo Staff have their hands tied with the merge, they are letting us pick the theme of the Prom! Do you want a glorious affair with all the glam and formal wear that Prom can possibly fit? Or are you more of the anti-Prom, alternative approach kinda person?

They want you to choose your side, Prom or Morp, build a room that represents the party that YOU would like to go to. They will pick 5 rooms from each side and let the Habbos of the Hotel vote for which side they like the most.

Once the vote is over, we will celebrate Prom/Morp together in the 5 rooms that won!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

Here’s how:

1. Choose your side and build a room that fits with your vision of what Prom or Morp should be. Feel free to use the Prom Furni even if you are a Morp person, just put your own spin on it!

2. Take a screenshot of your room (here is how), include the room information in the screenshot.

With these new countries allows us Habbo players to relate to each other and discover more rooms. Once you have activated your Aussie account, and signed into Habbo upon arrival you will receive a travel trunk.

On the Habbo UK news they announced that the merge with .COM/.UK is coming very fast. Soon all the English-speaking hotels will combine!

Happy Memorial Day to those of you who had someone die in the line of fire. This day is to honor the fallen men and women who have sacrifices their lives to give us our freedom.

For those of you who have relatives in Iraq or Afghanistan, you're not alone. There are plenty of other families who have someone overseas.

And for those of you who had someone die in the line of fire. Don’t ever forget them. They will always be honored even if we forget. That’s what this day is for.

UConn accused of eight major rules violations

First, for those of you who do not know what UConn is, it stands for the University of Connecticut. Over the past decade they have grown into one of the elite basketball programs in the country with the women winning the most recent final four.

Now the Men's basketball program is in some trouble. Jim Calhoun and the men's basketball program have been accused of eight major NCAA infractions, with investigators citing hundreds of improper calls and texts from UConn staff to recruits. Also, free tickets were said to be given out to high school coaches. The alleged infractions occurred between June 2005 and February 2009.

So far a punishment for these actions has not been given.

Farewell Cresthawk!

It looks like Cresthawk's adventure through time has finally come to its end. Thanks to five Habbos who sent in their story of what they thought Cresthawk's experience with the Greek Gods was, the rest of Habbo Staff was finally able to find out where he crash landed in time.

After digging and digging through the furni in the Habbo basement, they came to its dead end. A teleporter left open with Cresthawk's hat inside. Under the hat was a note...the final words we would read from our lost Habbo Staff member.

"Over the past 2 weeks I have been on the most amazing and scary journey of my life. I have come face to face with a T-Rex, Primordial Ooze, ancient Egyptian guards, and a countless number of other creatures and beings. It seems as though my latest trip through time has brought me into the distant future. The good news: the world is at peace, the starving have been fed, and (talk about crazy!) NASCAR is the only organized sport left in existence - except now they race on space tracks using a fuel made from recycled chewing gum. Oh, and best of all, Rascal Flatts continued to make music (about 20 more albums) so I have a lot of listening to catch up on. The bad news: I only have enough furni to create one more time travel machine. I'll be sending you this message and something I've held very dear to me over my time...but I'm sad to say that I must remain here, in the future. I ask that you do not attempt to follow me as I am afraid you too might become stuck in time as I am. At least I'll have NASCAR and some rocking country tunes to occupy me. I think I'm gonna like it here though." - Cresthawk

Gary Coleman Dies at 42!!!!

Gary Coleman has died at the age of 42 after suffering a brain hemorrhage that left him in a coma and on life support, The 'Diff'rent Strokes' actor was taken to the hospital on Wednesday, and his conditions deteriorated as the days went on.

Coleman passed away at 12:05 PM Mountain Standard Time with his family by his side. Coleman was taken to the hospital on May 26 after injuring his head during a fall, resulting in a brain hemorrhage. A spokesman for the actor said that he was "conscious and lucid" upon his arrival at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, but later slipped into a coma.

Coleman became a child acting sensation thanks to his role on 'Diff'rent Strokes,' where he made the words "What'choo talkin' 'bout" a national catchphrase. With his role as Arnold Drummond an adopted black child taken in by a rich white New York City man Coleman rode the wave of success until the show's end in 1986, setting him up for other movie and TV opportunities.

Throughout his life, Coleman battled various health issues. He received two kidney transplants to help curb the kidney disease nephritis, which he had battled for decades. The disease was responsible for stunting his growth.

Speaking with PEOPLE in 1979 at the age of 11, Coleman said of his first transplant: "The reason I survived is that I had a kidney that wouldn't give up ... Now, I got a Greek kidney donated from a kid who was hit by a car."

Coleman's health had been an issue of late, as the 42-year-old actor suffered two seizures this year. The first occurred on January 6, while the second took place in late February while he was on the set of 'The Insider.' During the 911 call from the latter incident, an 'Insider' staffer told the operator, "We have someone having a seizure right now on our stage ... we just need someone as soon as possible."

Gary Coleman was one of the greatest actors in the TV business. No one will forget him!

Nuclear Weapons

The United Kingdom has announced what they hold in their nuclear arsenal. It contains fewer then 225 nuclear weapons and only 160 of these are operational.
UK's foreign secretary speaks on behalf of the government when he says they feel they need to be more open about the weapons they hold.

In May, the United States released a statement saying their nuclear arsenal contained 5,113 nuclear weapons. With this news the United States announced it would not use its existing warheads to attack non-nuclear states

In 2008, France reported that they held about 300 nuclear weapons.

Just an Add-On to the Hacker Site info!

Alright there have been a few other Articles on Hackers, but I wanted to add additional information. Never EVER give out your account information. For instance:

"Hey I can give you 10 Gold Bar's and a wide load of Rare furni, All you have to do is give me your PASSWORD and I can give you this in 30 minutes"
Want to know what they will be doing during the duration of that time? Taking your furni/coins making you believe you are getting these things they said they would give you. But obviously they're not. Back to the point never fall for websites that end with:
- .TK
-bit.ly

These 2 sites I just used are widely used amongst hackers. In the bit.ly most hackers put a keylogger in a download, for instance a "Coin-Maker program" Which encrypted will most likely be a keylogger. On the .TK websites, it might prompt you to the .COM habbo site or any other country, but it's just a phisher. A phisher is a website that when you type in anything. The creator of the site automatically gets the information and can take your account. Remember Habbo users. NEVER fall for this Trickery. There is no such thing as Coin/Item/Furni Duping. It's ILLEGAL and can get you into some serious trouble.

Protecting yourself from Hackers!

As we all know Habbo.com is now merging with the other 4 English Speaking Hotels. Well with all this going on it also brings new hackers to our own little getaway.

Most of you (like me) use Habbo to get away from real life issues, like when you feel that you are getting too stressed. Others use it just for fun. And there are those people that don’t have anything better to do. But all those together can create an environment that is both friendly and not so friendly.

As our parents tell us “Pick your friends carefully” that rule also applies in habbo. You need to pick all of your friends carefully. Because even if you trust them enough, don’t. You never know if they are just waiting 'till you give up your password.

Recently one of our very own staff members at BOBBAvalues (BV) was hacked by a video that never downloaded. The Hacker was able to get a hold on her passwords to both habbo and BV. The hacker posted the website that led to the video. But we quickly caught on to it. This is an example of what a hacker is willing to do.

There is a lot of websites that offer FREE COINS which is not true. You can never get FREE COINS for habbo at all. Yes there are Youtube video’s but if you pay attention you can see that they never show how they get it or from where they got it from. And those same video’s can also be a virus/spywear that can take all of your personal info.

If someone goes into your room and says a website that ends with a “.tk” that means that the website can be a scam site. Rarely it would be a retro hotel being promoted. Most of the time its just some loser that doesn’t have anything better to do that is just making up ways to hack people because they enjoy the pixels (NOT REAL) in habbo.

So if you ever end up in that position, just remember nothing can ever be scripted into habbo again. Because if it is the MOD’s will catch you. And they will permanently ban your account, and since you need a trading pass to trade you can’t get away with anything anymore like when habbo.com first started 6 years ago.

This was unheard of early in Habbo's history. Hacking has always been a small part of Habbo but now it has gone to far.

Update On The Spill

As all of you know, a pipe has burst causing the oil to spill all over! They have tried many things to try and stop it, but it's just not working. Now, they have put a straw-like pipe in the water to filter out the water and collect some of the oil. They have said that it's getting 20% of the oil but it's really only getting 10%. Because the straw is sucking up the oil, it's causing the pipe to release faster. So it's only 10%. They're working on a way to fix this problem still.

Oil Spill Update

A few weeks back, I brought you news about the oil rig explosion that caused enormous amounts of oil to spill into the Gulf of Mexico. Since then, oil is still seeping out through the underwater pipes. The oil has been killing devastating amounts of marine life in this area. The marine life that comes from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf to breed, is going to be in big trouble.

Recently the focus has not only been on the Gulf of Mexico. Experts believe the effect of this oil spill, will be felt in Europe and even the Arctic!

Since the recent merge, these games have become less popular. Their popularity dropped and Casino's and Grabber's popularity has been rising.

From many Habbo's perspective we need to bring these games back. Most new Habbo's have no idea what CC or FF means anymore. Help bring Habbo back to it's old and wonderful state.

Wal-Mart Pulls Jewelry Over Cadmium!

Wal-Mart says it is pulling an entire line of Miley Cyrus-brand jewelry from its shelves after tests performed for The Associated Press found they contained high levels of the toxic metal cadmium.
In a statement released three hours after AP's initial report of its findings Monday, Wal-Mart said it would "remove all of the jewelry from sale" while it investigates. The items are not known to be dangerous if they are simply worn. Concerns come when youngsters bite or suck on the jewelry, as many children are apt to do.

Long-term exposure to cadmium can lead to bone softening and kidney failure. It is also a known carcinogen, and research suggests that it can, like lead, hinder brain development in the very young.

Sad News for the Golf Industry.

Three days ago police in Las Vegas got a 911 call from the home of Erica Blasberg. Little news is being released by police at this time. She died suddenly at her home in suburban Henderson as she prepared for a tournament in Alabama.

Her body was found Sunday afternoon by police responding to a 911 call. They aren't saying how she died or who placed the call. Her agent says she had packed her bags for the Bell Micro LPGA Classic in Mobile. Chase Callahan says police haven't given him or her family "any indication of anything."
Police have not said if they suspect foul play.

Michael Murphy said a ruling on a cause of death was pending blood and tissue tests that could take four to six weeks to complete. The memorial will be held at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, Calif. Private burial will follow.

Prehistoric Time Travel Room Comp

As many of you may know, CrestHawk has gone missing! We need your help to get him back by making a time machine. Located in the catalog are furni that will be used for the time machine. Using CrestHawk's notes (Located on 8-Bit Trip Group Page) and the time machine furni, rebuild the time machine. The room MUST include the furni from the Prehistoric Deal with a teleporter in the middle.

Take a screenshot of the room and send it to competitions.us@sulake.com. Make the subject line, Prehistoric Time Machine and don't forget to include your Habbo name. Deadline for this competition is Friday, May 14th @ 9am PT. Twenty Habbos who are able to successfully recreate a working time machine will be rewarded with the 8 Bit Trip Badge!

As you woke up today what did you do? Did you brush your teeth, take a shower, exercise? Well if you did all of the above you better of have fit in somehow in there a Happy Mother’s Day because today is MOTHER’S DAY!!!!

Yes the one day of the year that you can really tell/show your mom how much she truly means to you. Don’t just give her something expensive, give her something that came from your heart. A card, letter, drawing, or a simple poster showing your feelings to your mom.

I know most of you don’t respect your mom like the way you need to. How many of you have fought with your mom? Did you yell at her? Did you tell her that you wish she wasn’t your mother? Did you cuss her out? But even though you do that to her who is the person that you go to when something is wrong? When you drunk out of your mind at a party and you call your friend and he/she says its 1 in the morning I’m not going to pick you up. She gets up to pick you up. Yes later on you get your butt wiped. But behind all of that she loves you. She will always forgive what you’ve done.

What if you had a big fight with her early yesterday and she died the next day? Who will be there for you? She’s gone now. When she’s dead there no one there to help you through tough times. Most of you don’t deserve a mother a loving caring, and forgiving like her.

If it wasn’t for your mother you wouldn't be here reading this. So this mothers day instead of fighting with your mom, tell her you love her. That you're sorry for the pain you caused her in the passed. And just give her a great big hug. Flowers and chocolates won’t her either.

Cino De Mayo!

Cino De Mayo or 5th of May how its known is celebrated as the victory of Puebla ( A State in Mexico). This battle between Mexico and Spain was for the independence of Mexico witch is celebrated on September 16th.

But the whole country celebrates this occasion for the state of Puebla, which won the battle. The state of Puebla is located next to Mexico City. That’s one of the reasons why they celebrate this date. There is much more information but I am too overwhelmed with homework that I don’t have time to look it up… even though I’m on the internet…

Cino De Mayo is also a day when everyone in Mexico hit’s the beaches. The Golden Beaches and some that most of you on habbo are too young to go to in the first place.

Last week, Habbo asked everyone to participate in a poll about the upcoming COM and CA merge. They wanted to find out how people felt now that we are very, very close to the merge. 41% of Habbos are saying they are looking forward to the merge more now than when it was first announced. I am one of those Habbos in the 41%.

When this merge was first announced months ago, I was dead certain that nothing good would come out of the merge. Then, I started looking into the furni on different hotels. Soon I realized that there were many items that our hotel was missing. Maybe the merge wasn't such a bad thing. But I was still afraid that a lot of my good friends would lose a lot of value on their furni. Luckily, Habbo has thought of ideas to compensate for the value lost in furni. So it's been a while now since the renewal of the HC & VIP system, and those that are in either club have had a chance to get to know all of the new things that have been made available.

After 13674 votes the 15 finalists have been narrowed down to one. She had almost twice the amount of votes as the Habbo in second place. Congratulations to Funie in a landslide victory!

Funie will will win the second level Design badge, 6 items from the Runway line and a Trophy signed by Habbo Staff.

Funie will be representing the US in the world wide vote against 15 other competitors. The 3 best will be presented to the table of judges, featuring Miley Cyrus, to pick the final winner. This winner will have his or her design turned into clothes for all Habbos to wear!

Bombs Away!

New York City police have defused an improvised car bomb parked in Times Square, one of the city's busiest tourist areas.
They say propane tanks, fireworks, petrol and a clock device were removed from a parked sports utility vehicle.

Minds are confused as to whether this was a terrorist attack, or a one-off random attack.
According to Bomb experts, it was rigged to set off a huge ball of fire, to scare us, rather than an attempt to kill hundreds off passers by.

NYPD are reviewing CCTV footage that is alleged to show someone running away from the car shortly after it was believed to have been planted.

This is just another chilling reminder of how dangerous this world is, and that we cannot continue to let the terrorists control our fear.

But Habbo is stepping up their game to try and support so that these children can have freedom. Who knows they may become our future successors. CA & COM Merge delayed....Again

After many delays, Habbo announced that they will be delaying the merge with CA once again. They report that much progress was made this week but still a few minor issues remain. The merge is now scheduled to occur sometime next week. On the bottom of the article, fill out the poll before 9am PT and 100 randomly picked Habbos that fill out this poll will win a "fantastic prize".

The "fantastic prize" happens to be a duck.

So we have been waiting and waiting for this merge to happen, seemingly for months and months, although that isn't quite accurate

We have been updated once again by Habbo who are continuing to pursue this update, and even though it is causing them a lot of stress, it is slowly coming together, and within the next week or so it should become reality.

Greece seeking $160 Billion in aid

Greece is negotiating an aid package worth $160 billion but the final cost is still unsure. Though this is a significant amount of money, it falls short to Greece's $394 billion dollars in debt. Greece will have to cut civil servants' salaries, reduce their pension payments, change tax rates and increase the value-added tax consumers pay on purchases, and freeze their pay increases. Greece's credit rating has been slashed twice in the past two weeks giving 16 euro using nations, reason to be concerned. Germany is most likely to pay the bulk of this money to bail out Greece to stabilize the euro. The only concern is what the German tax payers will think. Experts say they have nothing to worry about because when Greece repays the loans, the tax payers will actually make money.

As some of you may have heard, Toyota Car Company has sold tons and tons of cars over the years! There has been a recall on millions of cars by that company. Many people have been having trouble stopping their cars! They would let go off their gas pedal and it would keep going and speeding up! Most of you know, you can't stop a car when you're on the gas! So, most of these car's have lead to major accidents and crashing. A few people believe it's because of the telephone posts and their electricity some how.
No one is really sure...

Be careful with your cars and don't go too fast! You may never know what will happen.

Oil Rig Explosion

Tuesday, April 20th, in the Gulf of Mexico there was a catastrophic explosion aboard an oil rigger engulfing the entire deck into flames. 17 people were injured from the explosion, only 3 critical, and 11 were missing. The oil rig was located 52 miles off the coast of Louisiana. Late Wednesday afternoon, as many as 6 fire fighting vessels were trying to contain the massive fire caused by the explosion. Officials say the rig had undergone at least three safety inspections since January and there was no indication of any problems before the blast occurred.

Sunday efforts began to contain the leaking oil. The leak was first found in a well on Saturday. Oil was leaking out of 2 places in the well, about 5,000 feet below the surface. Around 42,000 gallons a day are said to be leaking out of the well. A plan was recently approved to use submersible remote-operated vehicles in an effort to activate a valve at the top of the well. This would stop the flow of oil. After the flow of oil is stopped, it will be directed into a relief well.

I happened to hear around that The SpongeBob SquarePants show, has saved a child in real life! While chewing on some gum a child choked and couldn't get it out of their throat, thank god their friend was there! The other friend preformed the himelick and saved the other child! They talked to the friend and the said they have been watching SpongeBob and learned it from there. Without SpongeBob, they wouldn't have had any idea.

New Law In Arizona Racist?!?!

Now many of you have heard of this new law and what it does. This law is meant to arrest people who are in the state illegally. While this law may be a good idea in some people’s minds, this law will also open the door to racial profiling. This gives police officers the right to stop you and question your legal status.

Conservative radio talk show host Heidi Harris applauds the law. "Arizona is just trying to put some teeth back in the laws that we should already be enforcing," Harris said.

While immigration attorney and activist Vicenta Montoya opinion differs . "It's one of dismay and sadness that this was signed into law by Governor Brewer," Montoya said. "When people say you'll be arrested while driving while black, this would be living, walking, and driving while brown."

Montoya says the law compares with legislation German Nazis used to single out Jews.
But Harris disputes that claim. "It does not allow you to be stopped just because you look Latino," Harris countered. "That would be a violation of everybody's civil rights, and I would not be for that… It's not like you get tapped on the shoulder. You know, 'papers please.' That's not what this does," she said.

Still, some Latinos fear Arizona's law could give police too much power. Roberto Bustos is an American living near the Mexican border. "If they want to stop me and ask me if I'm an American or not, that's insulting," he said.

Both Harris and Montoya agree that Arizona's law could drive illegal immigrants out of the state and into Neighboring States . "I could see people leaving Arizona or not wanting to be there," Montoya said. "People who are citizens, people who are permanent residents, who say that's a hostile environment could say, ‘I don't want to stay there anymore. A lot of illegals will leave and probably go to states where their civil rights will be respected, which is a problem," Harris said. "I don't want that to happen. I don't want illegals to be in this country at all."

Montoya believes, ultimately, Arizona's new law will be ruled unconstitutional and cost taxpayers millions of dollars if the state has to defend it. Harris disagrees. She says polls show a large majority of Arizona residents want it.

All that may be true but if they told the people to take polls in English the chance that anyone who speaks Spanish didn’t take the poll.

Most people say that it will start with the illegals, then blacks then Jews and it may continue to become a huge problem.

Personally I think this law was probably good on paper. But just because someone looks Hispanic, it doesn’t give police the right to force them to show legal documents that they are legal in this country!

My thoughts on the merge

Hi, I know you probably don’t care about the merge now but I thought
I'll just give you my thoughts on the merge. I personally think it
will be good, I also heard rumours that it will be here next week
however it should do anyway because we are coming to the end of
April and habbo did say in April.

That wasn’t the big shock to me, the big shock for me was the announcement of all hotels that speak English merging together, why did I like this? Well there is lots of reasons why I liked it and not one reason why I hated it
but the main reason why I liked it, is because I have an account on a
different hotel with some stuff on it that I couldn’t get on .com,
so that's what I think about the merge. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

Runway furni update!

Just as we thought the runway furni couldn’t get any better, habbo
added the new black parlor chair.

So what does this mean?

Merge update!

Ok habbo's we know you have been waiting forever to get an update
on the merge. We now finally have one!
For those of you who have accounts on both habbo.com and habbo.ca,
you can now merge them into one. So, if you want to combine
your accounts from habbo.ca and habbo.com into one, all you
need to do is make sure they have the same email address on
both hotels, yes it's really that simple.

However, if you don't like the idea of merging both of your accounts together, it's fine you have a choice.
So if for some reason you don't want to merge your Habbo's into one then all you have to do is make sure they have different email addresses.
Habbo has recommended that you update your Habbo ID info this weekend.

So does this mean the merge is finally here?!
If you are still confused and have any questions that you want to ask, you
can just use habbo's forum that could be found in the
Habbo.com and Habbo.ca Unite group page.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch!!!

Do you know what the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is? Well let me tell, there is nothing great about it! The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a bunch of garbage just floating around in the Pacific Ocean. In some places it’s over 90 ft deep and over a mile long! On the coast of California, Baja California, Hawaii, and other remote islands you can find this trash all over the place. But the most common spot where you can find it is in the stomachs of birds, fish, and sea turtles.

Although this trash is way out from any national borders this trash seems to find its way back to the coast of the land. Scientists have noticed that in the past 5 years the amount of plastic in the ocean has doubled! There is 6x more plastic than plankton in the ocean which small fish tend to eat. This plastic is not biodegradable and therefore nature can not get rid of it. It can only break it down into smaller and smaller pieces.

All this plastic comes from soda, water, and soup or detergent bottles, and even market plastic bags are found in this giant patch of garbage! Everyday this garbage patch gets bigger and bigger and bigger! It is IMPOSSIBLE to clean all of this up because of the marine life that can be killed in the process. So the only way to put an end to this is to stop throwing away plastic. That will make the garbage patch get smaller and will reduce the amount of marine life being lost. Only 5% of the plastic is recycled GLOBALY!!! That’s nothing compared to 80% in the garbage patch!!!

The Habbo style has gone crazy! This is cute, this is ugly, I like this...Insane! But, we all like to talk about fashion so what's the point in letting 1 person know, when you can let the whole HOTEL know!

Simple, go on your Habbo Homepage and just start writing! Once you're done with that, go to the Habbo News Article and post your link in the space provided.

After, Habbo Staff will pick a few Habbo's that have written the best, to be shared all over Habbo Hotel! Their article will be posted on "The Runway" group page! Lucky! It will be there for a whole week and you'll get a fabulous sticker for your page.

What a load of Ash!

We thought the ash clouds might be moving on, as the skies opened up a little more yesterday, giving hope to those stranded in airports all over the EU.

As usual though, mother nature has turned on us again by allowing the volcano to erupt once more, leaving a plume of smoke and ash rising into the heavens, along with rivers of lava trailing down into the villages.

A glimmer of hope has subsided and the stranded folk have just began to realize that their Easter-break-nightmare has only just begun.
A few airports around Europe have opened, and a few flights have been allowed to go, but it isn't possible to judge how long that will last, as we await the second ash cloud.

For me though, the day is bright, skies a blue and yet another day has opened and another day at work is waiting for me!
I think to myself now and then that some of these people that are stuck, should sit back and enjoy an extended holiday, in which they cannot be blamed for. So that means more tanning, more boozed-up nights, more parties and most of all more fun!

Hopefully they are thinking of us stuck at work, and school of course, while they enjoy themselves!

Oh The Mess!

As many of you know, in Greenland, there has been a massive VOLCANO! Oh No!!! Anyways, they have no idea when it's going to be over. Because it's so cold there, so the lava is all grey and they can't send any planes, becuase the smoke/ash in the air will start them on fire. Trapped there is a highschool full of students and many others! I'm hoping we can save them! Is 2012 really coming? All the earthquakes, volcanoes, and even the meteor. It's going insane! Pray that we're safe!

Habbo Staff wants to see your style. They want you to show them how you dress in real life. So make sure you choose your favorite outfit when doing this. Below are the Rules of this competition:

- Take a picture of yourself, but leave out your face (you can cover it up, cut it out, or blank it out)
- The picture has to fit within the bottom frame on our Habbo Runway group page, which means that the size has to be exactly 460 pixels wide and 285 pixels tall (460x285).
- Add the photo to an email titled "STYLE" and make sure to add your Habbo name and a few words that you think describe your style!
* Send the email to competitions.us@sulake.com before 9am PT, April 26th, 2010.

Prize received for winning:
